Lord

here marked our foreheads from the ashes,

as door jambs

of those that you were about to leave Egypt.

Here are our hearts scored from the ashes,

those of our faults

burned by the fire of your love.

Here are our hands scored from the ashes,

those of our violence

destroyed by your tenderness.

our feet is scored from the ashes,

those false idols

dissolved the burning bush of truth.

I walk where you invite us to follow

are, too, scored from the ashes,

not as a sign of sadness,

but as a pledge of purity.

Your column Fire has burned thorns

ashes make fertile

the arid rocky ground of our lives. So

scored from the ashes

here we are, Lord, ready to follow

burning on the road that leads to life.

There, we want to burn the superstructure unnecessary

vain words, gestures of refusal.

called the burning of your Word,

we will present our hearts

and we will convert to the Gospel. .
