FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT YEAR A
Monition ENVIRONMENTAL
With Ash Wednesday we began our Lenten journey, a journey to Easter, which will lead us to rediscover our baptism, and then be our church. Lent is a great opportunity for the entire Christian community in the path of conversion to follow in the footsteps of the Lord, being renewed by the Gospel.
This is the great retreat of the whole church, let us not go in vain for the grace of God, the Lord's people as we follow the master acknowledge ourselves in the desert and need.
Monition ON FIRST READING
Through sin, man wants to become independent from God, the beginning has the flavor of happiness and freedom, but also produces sadness, slavery and death. This is why Lent invites us to struggle against the temptations of evil and sin.
Monition THE SECOND READING
In the face of Adam, the old man ruined by sin, there is Christ, the new man who has conquered sin. Adam with his pride brought death, Christ By his obedience he brought life. Living Lent means increasing the scale that Adam is in us and make more room for Christ lives in us from the moment of Baptism.
Monition THE GOSPEL
The experience of Jesus tempted by the forces of evil once again the meaning of Lent as a time of trial, the fight against seduction to win with carefully listening to the Word of God, weather to make or remake the fundamental choices of the Christian life.
