Monition ON FIRST READING
The Lord is merciful and kind forever, but there are times like the one that begins today, Lent, richer and more prosperous of the divine mercy and kindness. To draw with both hands this love of God, His Word must resonate today, more insistent and prayer, which is groaning and imploring priests and the whole Church, must get more fervent in our Lord and Father.
Monition THE SECOND READING
Paul is considered an ambassador of Christ and co-worker of God in proclaiming that it is now, and there is now, the time of salvation, that is reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ and just to his credit, we receive the grace of the Lord of Justice.
Monition THE GOSPEL
Our works of charity, our prayers, our penance, should not be proclaimed outside to be admired and become a source of praise for us. The only important thing is the eyes of God, who sees in secret, and the reward that comes from Christ
ASH
The gesture we are now taking the ash that will cover our head, it expresses the attitude of our awareness of being limited and imperfect creatures before the Creator. Our nature is dust, but if we convert our hearts to him, we will be raised to his dignity.
