SECOND READING (Rom 3.21-25a .28)

.
from the letter of Paul to the Romans
Brothers, now apart from law, has manifested the righteousness of God, as witnessed by the Law and the Prophets: the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.
fact there is no difference, that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus whom God put forward as an expiation, through faith in his blood.
We believe that a man is justified by faith apart from works of law.

GOSPEL (Mt 7.21-27)

+ From the Gospel according to Matthew
At that time, Jesus told his disciples:
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.
On that day many will say to me 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? And in thy name have we not cast out demons? And in thy name have we not done many miracles? But then I will declare to them: "I have never known. Get away from me, ye who work iniquity. " Everyone who listens
these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
everyone who hears these words of mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. The rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell and great was its fall. " Word of the Lord
